There was a white with black stripes & interior 67 440 4 speed GTX here in Spokane years ago. It was a beautiful car, looked very serious in the B&W paint scheme and it was a very nice original car. I know the task may seem daunting but when it's done you'll love the combo! If you are not familiar with how to restore a car I suggest reading books, asking lots of questions here on Moparts, and setting up a good spacious and organized work space before tearing into the car, it will save you allot of headaches and probably money down the road. Good luck! Very cool car!

I picked up a 67 GTX 4-spd car a couple weeks ago. I have always wanted one and am glad I did. Having a 67 GTX 4-spd as your first Mopar (IMO) is a special thing, it is a rare car and you will not see or hear of many like it.
Use Moparts, that's what we are here for! Ask question and do it right the first time!
Good Luck!

Well here is a pic of my '67, hopefully you will stay motivated to finish that car. They do look very sweet in white!

This is going to be a cool project! My suggestion is to break the project down into a bunch of smaller steps and goals. That way you won't get overwhelmed.
I've owned my '67 Satellite for ten years, the last few years just working on it a little at a time when I have time and money.
This might sound nuts and it's probably the backwards way to do it, but I think your GTX would look bada$$ if you left the body and paint the way it is and got all the mechanical stuff up and running first and then drove it around looking like you just dragged it out of the field. I guarantee that would turn more heads than looking at yet another restored to stock musclecar. Patina like that looks so much cooler to me.
If you do restore it all the way, consider restoring it to the way your dad ran it back in the day with period-current mods.
