My '74 European export model had one. I think they were supplied to the EU with all the H/D suspension upgrades. It was taken off years ago, we have a drag race torsion type fitted now. Edit: It was a Rallye spec with 318.

I have a bar off a 71 'Cuda 340. It was an automatic.

It is my understanding that it was on the Challenger R/T, T/A and Rallye optioned cars EXCEPT the very early 70 R/T's didn't get them automatically. The Cuda & AAR got them but I am not sure if they were on the very early 70 Cuda's.
There was probably other options that I don't know off the bat but somebody will come along and correct me if I am wrong..
I believe there was a 340 Barracuda that technically wasn't a Cuda but trimmed out the same as a Cuda. Correct me if I am wrong.
As for cost they were pretty common. The last time I bought one it was less than $100 for the whole setup but that was over 10 years ago.
In 1972, 1973 and 1974 the Barracuda and Challengers were eligible to be equipped with a, handing and apreance package, it was the Cuda and Ralley Challenger. You had a choice in engine Cuda and Ralley Challenger. Either could have been ordered as 318 or 340. In 1974 318 and 360 They had the frint and rear sway bars, as part of the package

While we're on the topic, it was my understanding that dana 60 cars did not receive the rear sway bar because it would not clear the dana? Any truth to this?

While we're on the topic, it was my understanding that dana 60 cars did not receive the rear sway bar because it would not clear the dana? Any truth to this? Yep - truth. NO Dana cars got the rear bars. SUPPOSEDLY, all 1970 340 & 383 Cudas got the F&R bars. T/A's & AAR's all should have been equipped with them. *My first car that I bought in July 1976 was a 1970 340 Cuda that I bought from the original owner - he ordered it & it was an early production car - it DID NOT have the rear sway bar. I bought a new one from my local dealer but never installed it, so it is on my AAR now. (my AAR had been drag raced from around 1977-1982 when it was finally parked & has not been on the road since - the rear bar was missing). Also I have an old article from 1969 in one of the car mags about the new Cudas, & in the article it specifically mentioned the Cudas that got rear sway bars - 340's & 383's. The article claimed that Chrysler engineers "did not equip big block E-Bodies with the rear bars because in hard cornering, they would skitter off the track tail first" if equipped with them. So peculiarly enough, we saw NO 1971 Roadrunners, GTX's, or performance Chargers with the rear bars, but saw ALL these performance models in 1972-4 get them. So, big question for the 1972 440 4-speed GTX's & Charger Rallyes - did the Dana cars in 1972 have the rear sway bars?

So, big question for the 1972 440 4-speed GTX's & Charger Rallyes - did the Dana cars in 1972 have the rear sway bars? some suspension/brake tweaks must've been learned via the "TRANS AM" program. during the '71 model year the staggered springs went away on some/all of the axle package cars & 11' rear drums appeared on disc brake cars- & the '72 440 cars do NOT have staggered rear leaf springs & the DANA60 cars do have a rear sway bar

Here's the rear sway bar on my old '73 Charger Rallye 340 - a straight & pretty thick bar. The Dana car in the photo has a different design bar.

it would be easier to answer if you were more specific ....
for 1970 E-bodies, the rear sway bar did NOT exist until Trans Am/AAR production prior to that S13 was front sway bar ONLY (STANDARD on BS-JS cars) & after A53, S13 included front and rear sway bars (the question might be: on what date did S13 ADD the rear sway bar to its contents list?)
ALL 440HP, 440+6, HEMI E-bodies had S15 included as part of the engine upgrade - front sway bar ONLY was part of S15 (ALL DANA60 cars have S15) For my own brain clarity, was there an S15 and S13 as listed above or was that a typo? If there was an S13 & S15 was the S13 front only and S15 both or ???

Both of my E bodies have the rear sway bar. One is a 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe that originally had a 318-2BBL and the other one is a 1970 A66 Challenger convertible. I know the history of the Challenger since it was bought new and it is untouched since 1984, The sway bar looks very original. According to the fender tag it appears the A66 Challengers got the rear sway bar. Part of the package was "Rallye suspension." The sway bar looks very original on the Barracuda too but unfortunately I just decoded the fender tag and it doesn't say anything about it coming from the factory with a rear sway bar. I think the rear sway bar really helps these car drive and handle a lot better. I like my cars to be mostly original but no way I am taking off the rear sway bar.

My former A66 Challenger did NOT have a rear sway bar. And was a completely unrestored untouched car when I bought it early/mid 90s time frame. But I added one to it.

I bet they were both built after A53 production - what are their SPDs? S13 was an orderable OPTION on a 318 car & was required with F70-14 tires on a 318 car

Im pretty sure the only cars with a Dana that were avail with rear bars were 71-72 B bodies ( I've seen a couple, and it's a completely different style bar and mounting compared to an E body )
