Famous last words, "I'm gonna restore them there cars someday", meanwhile parked on dirt in a wet climate they rot away into aint never gonna happen.
Cars in the woods get it from the top and bottom. Pine needles and leaves decade after decade accumulate on the car and rot it from the top- the dirt and growing weeds rot it from the bottom.
back in my junkyard ownership days, many cars were "pulled in two" when being loaded on our tilt bed.
some were a real treat to secure after being loaded, because there were no good places to strap to that would contain "body parts" from falling off on the trip to the yard. in those instances, we had a guy following the truck with another truck, stopping [sometimes frequently] to pick up the pieces.
luckily, we [mostly] had back roads leading into the yard.
