Doug is wheel busy, he wheely is! I know he is! And I can totally relate... Believe me! It's just that he had told me my wheel was pretty much done and I sent a check for the remaining balance. It's been a couple weeks and the check still hasn't been cashed and he hasn't responded to email. Oh, and I'll check the Facebook page. I wasn't aware of his page. Thanks guys!

Just heard back from Doug and he sent photos of the wheel, and it is OUTSTANDING! It's too nice for the car! That's the good news. The bad news is that even after more than 2 weeks our check has not arrived at his place. So I'm going to have to see what I can do about that, like maybe write another or something... Thanks everyone!

Lets, see here...... Mailing a check across the border, transit time, time to clear Canadian customs, more transit time to Doug & then another 10-14 days for the check to clear? Patience is a virtue.

Since we're here in the conversation, I'll ad the tracking from an item that was delivered today (via USPS); read from the bottom up...it's pretty impressive! Long story short, it came to town (I live in Fort Walton Beach, BTW), left, came back, left and finally made it here...a couple days later than expected. I'm not mad, just astounded.

Just a couple of days ago the USPS issued a warning against sending checks in the mail. Plenty of articles online about it. Google it
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

That second link smells of damage control. Somebody at the USPS must have realized that if nobody trusts the USPS then they don't have a job.
