What kind of front tires are best to run on the front of the A990 type/super stock cars.

Make and size?

I kinda like these old school Pro-Tracs from Coker Tire

I have a old set of Fenton wheels I going to run on the front. I would like to have a set of polished Super tricks to match the back, but will run what i have.
Tire wise, I will run a standard radial tire, I found the front runners dry rot after a few seasons, not matter how may or little run time you have.

The 165/80 R15;s are fairly skinny, and tall....and pretty cheap....probably under $100 out the door.

Was thinking 26-7.5x15 on 15x4.5 Torque Thrust Ds.

215-75-15 on 4.5" Torque Thrusts are what I have in the picture.They have an old school bias ply profile to them.

I prefer a 28" tall for the front. I think a shorter tire looks incorrect in that large a wheel well. Heres a pic of mine with a 26" tall. Just doesn't look right to me.

I run 29" tall M/T ET fronts on my car, and it looks a whole lot better than the 26s I used to have on it.

yup we run 28's now but have ran 29 inch before. dvw these cars dont look right with small front tires.
