For the last 10 years or so Jeff and I have been doing personalized transports out of the Chicago area, we had each others backs to cut down the amount of dead heads. He was a Chevy and Pontiac racer and had his Super Gas license and recently bought a new trailer to go back racing. He was a diesel mechanic for ComEd our local electric utility since he came out of high school and after decades finally got back with his high school sweetheart and they bought a new house and another in Bradenton, FL his upcoming retirement at 55 years old. He got cancer a few years back and beat it. It came back with a vengeance a couple months ago, spread to the bones in his hips. I saw him about 20 days ago and he looked like he was 70 years old and could hardly walk, he was 54. I went on a long transport and he went into the hospital and never came out. RIP hillbilly, you were one of the good ones, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it...
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

So sad! Especially sad for someone readying to retire and finally enjoy the benefits of his hard work. We have to beat cancer. It has taken so many that we all care for. I just gave again about two weeks ago after reading about Cab's loss of his love of his life . Maybe Jeff's story will encourage others to give now. https://donate.cancer.org/?
