CYACOP OP master Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 3,958 SW Fla.	Will an ignition coil from a 2000 Dodge van with a 5.2 work with a 1972 440 with electronic ignition? Can I eliminate the ballast resistor in the process? The primary coil resistance on the 2000 is 1.4 ohms. The primary coil resistance on the original 1972 coil that mounts on the 440 intake is 2.2 ohms. This might be a problem for my ignition control box that mounts on the firewall.
