WARNING non Mopar related, other than I am a Mopare guy
We had a good weekend at eh NMCA race in St Louis this passed weekend. We namaged to qualify 3rd in NA10.5 class. Car was working really well and it appears we have finally turned a corner with the back half of the track finally coming around for us. We ran a best of 7.90 173 to put us third in the field of 8. Then we went on the be the runner up for the weekend. Given the conditions we were very happy with the results for sure. Our slowest 60 for the weekend was a 1.14 best was 1.10 given the conditions could not be happier. And to finally be able to run some MPH is a huge deal. Now we need to get after the 330-660 split but we have a plan for sure. Anyway just wanted to share.
Here is a little video. 1.11 60', 5.04, 7.90/173. Runs ok for a 400" SB with a single 4 bbl and a wet sump at 2730lbs

That sounds beautiful. 9k stall is just something I can't comprehend, lol.
Assume you're shifting in the 5 digit range on the tach?
1-2 is 94-9700 2-3 is 10-10200
Depends on the weather conditions and what stator we have in it. To be honest it is still pulling the g meter at 10,200 so it likely wants to go even higher but at some point the butt pucker factor takes over. But we have thought about it, was the plan for the final but we broke a header tube in the semis and were fractically trying to fix that so we didn't have time to change anything else. Thankfully we found a tig welder and got it welded up and back together just in time for the call to the lanes. We are still trying to determine the "happy place" for the engine when the water grains are over 100. We actually think we need a new larger carb as well which is being done as I type and will be on for Norwalk..
We will finish up the year with the new carb there and Indy then going to try some stuff for when we run with the west coast guys. We are appreciateive to have an outlet to test the car which is what we use the WCNA stuff for testing. Two BUG changes will be done for that race in November, at least thats the plan, Cant stand still always looking for more..

Is this an SB2 small block? If not are they allowed in 10.5NA?
Its a Dart Little Chief. Yes an SB2 or a 2.2 is allowed int he class. Basically any combo is allowed in the class we have engines in the class from 393" to 700". Just different weights and lots of little rules about the combos. Our stuff is basically 20 year old Aussie Pro Stock stuff but it's what we have and will keep plugging away with it. Lots of experience with the Aussie Pro Stock stuff.
The car in the final we ran was a splayed valve SBC that was 408"with a Liberty, most the small blocks are clutch cars. We are the quickest automotic SB in the class. Oh yeah the trans is a Proflite. Its a fun class but not for the faint of wallet for sure.
