Any Medford racers out there. I am
thinking of coming down for the friday
night drags this coming friday.
Any thing you can tell me about the track?
How many runs can I get in?
Need to get some seat time.

Matt

You will get three time trial runs in, then they have eliminations, if you have slicks, you will run in Hot Rod. If you do not want to race, they have a test and tune lane, and you can run every round out of that lane, so you will get in around 7-8 passes friday night. Fridays are a nice laid back kinda race. Very friendly track management, always a smile and "Hi How are ya doin"....25.00 to get you and car in the gate.... nice pit area with concrete pads. beautiful showers and restrooms, good food vendor. track does have fuel for sale. elevation 1400 feet, DA last friday was 2700'....both lanes were solid, no traction problems, I ran 10.18 at 134mph....long uphill shutdown area. if you run in Hot rod, you will be in lanes 6-7, and the test and tune lanes are 8-9......they open the gates on time, and start on time. the tech is at the end of the staging lanes, once you tech in, go to the souvenir booth and sign waiver get a wrist band, and you are good to go. Usually Fri. night drags by them selves are not as well attended as the Friday night drags that have a Sat/Sun. Summit race with them. good time to shake out the car and driver. Anything else I can help with let me know.

Sounds good, thanks for the info.
I will be driving a Blue 73 Dart Sport.
And it is a 1/4 mile track?
Thanks again.

Yes it is a 1/4 mile track. they do have a web site, just google Champion Raceway. I will not be at a Fri. night race again until the next Summit points races. UNLESS I get stupid and think that I can win the big dollar race at the end of this month. I'm still thinking about that one. Yellow '63 Savoy here
