I have a 76 reg cab 4x4 and 79 extended cab 4x4 already....both need some stuff. What do you think of this pair? $2600 seem fair?
Thanks!
Dave

Even without seeing more can't beat that price. The blue swb looks good from we can see. The rust over rear wheels can be repaired because those panels are available. My big question would be how's the roof around the drip rail? Can't see in any pictures. The white one has solid roof but I doubt you are looking to get into major surgery with these and do a transplant. If the floors, frame, and roof are okay on that blue one then you got a real bargain I'd say. If the roof and floor are okay and just floors still good deal. Those bulkheads can present some problems as I'm sure you know so hopefully electrical isn't fried. If they were near me I'd most definitely be looking!

Maybe you only want parts but these might be too good for parting out or at least the swb blue one.

Came home with an empty trailer. The white extended cab is not worth saving, and had few usable parts on it besides the jump seats, dashpad and a door. The blue one ran okay, but its been sitting for 7 years, seals are dried out. The "new" tires are 7 years old too. Floors are gone, missing some stuff...but I still was interested. He wanted $2000 for it....I offered $1500, then $1700 and left it at that. Trucks are also buried behind other rigs, so I would have been there for hours while they moved stuff. I think walking away was the right decision for me. The blue truck has potential...but will take alot to get it right (may have been rear ended at some point as well... So there you go. I keep hunting.

Too bad, seemed like a decent price especially for what the parts are going for you when you need something.

Sounds like you made a wise choice all things considered. If the blue one was more accessible and he took your reasonable offer that would be great.
