Looking for some feedback from the Moparts community on the tire sizes being used on their A, B, or E-bodies equipped with 14" wheels.

I understand there are not that many choices for tires when it comes to 14" wheels.

Do you prefer all (4) tires to be the same size or the staggered look?

All feedback welcomed, but interested to hear from those not currently using reproduction polyglas tires.

Hi Vinny , 1 68 A-Body has 205-70-14s on 14 X 5.5 SBP wheels , Another 69 A-Body has 215 X 75-14 on the 14 X 4.5 SBP wheels . Another 69 A-Body with 215-70-14 on 14 X 6 SBP Stockton rims . 1 68 B-Body with 205-75-14 on 14 X 5.0 Rims , another 69 B-Body with 14 x 7 Aluminum Slots with 225-70-14 BFGs , and finally my 68 B-Body Wagon with 215-75-14 michelins with 14 X 5.5 mopar wagon rims , soon to be 15" set up . No E -Bodys , . Ronnie

I ran 235/60 14 tires with 5.5 inch wheels on my 1970 Duster. It was about the biggest tire I could go on those wheels. The 440 would annihilate them.

How wide are the rims you have an what body platform do you have ?

My preference is staggered, if I have a choice, but that screws you if you have a sure grip and you need to use the spare tire in your trunk .

I run FR70-14s. What are you looking to do? Show or go? These are for show, decidedly so. I’ve had ton trucks that handle better. The radials are mounted, the bias plys had to come off this car the day I brought it home.

I've thought of that. Sometimes the fix for that might be to swap both front tires to the rear, then put the oddball tires on the front if they aren't too tall.

That's my fix , pain in the kester but beats a tow bill .

225/70R14 is a good size tire for a B-body. Yes they go on a 5.5” wheel just fine.
I just bought some new tires and sitting there the beads of the tire are just under 5,5” apart.

F70–14 redlines is what I run, but when playing around at the track or running a different class I run the M&H DOT muscle car bias ply. They come in 14” and you have to pay attention to notice it isn’t the F70-14 redlines on the car.
