2015 Durango UAS / UAQ Android auto / carplay upgrade
Finally got around to installing the new head unit, also installed the new USB hub and rear A/C control as required per infotainment.com. Everything seems to be working well with the exception of heated and ventilated seats and heated steering wheel. Those controls are all grayed out, as they say if mama isn't happy nobodies happy, those are must haves for her.
All three components were eBay buys, all are supposed to be correct, since Android auto and carplay both work, I'm certain the USB hub is correct. I ordered the rear A/C control by the part number, so I'm sure it's also correct.
As I understand FCA uconnect systems, there's only one and it picks up the options from the cars computer? FWIW, rear headrest flip IS working.
The radio has been in since Friday, it's been driven and gone thru several key cycles, no joy on getting the heated and ventilated stuff working. Has anybody any suggestions? Does the battery have to be disconnected for some time? Seems odd, the head unit hasn't been powered up in months.
edit, I recall infotainment.com required a 4C

for 2014 models, but NOT 2015 models, that info has been removed, can't find it again. Even though our Durango is a very late 2015 model I'm guessing I need to pony up the $170 they want for the kit. But the description says all 2013 & 2014 model year UAQ or UAS retrofit installations

The primary purpose of this kit is to force enable CAN messages from the BCM to the newly installed radio. The features it will force are the heated seats, ventilated seats, and/or heated steering wheel controls on all 2013 & 2014 model year UAQ or UAS retrofit installations.
