I’m getting my 68 barracuda coupe ready to go to the track, but my battery and fuel cell are in the trunk. I know I need a firewalll per nhra rules. I see the thickness required if it’s steel or aluminum-
What are you guys doing for yours. I don’t want a blank panel, something with some style? Does anyone make them for our cars with a pentastar embossed?
Pictures would be appreciated

.040 aluminum and carpet.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I made this one myself out of 0.040 AL. The trunk side has noise dampening mat on it.

Because there are so many variables...Let's see what you're starting with that needs covering. I.E.-Where do the rear downbars intersect? Where are the tubs? etc...

Come to think of it ...there was a guy on Facebook that did custom 'mopar' panel fab work...you'd supply dimensions etc. I'll see if i can find that craftsman.

Ok I go tit. His name is Darryl Birdsong @ Gold Creek Customs. I have never done business with him but at a glance his stuff looks nice.

These pics are from a thread on ForABodiesOnly, see the link below. Guy said it was done at Ed Quay Racecars. Very nice job.

Here's mine but it's for a Duster. No designs or anything, sorry. It will eventually get covered with factory-type materials, like a Hemi Dart. I made a platform for where the back seat was. Probably not necessary but I wanted a more finished appearance. The package tray is 3 pieces. I got the idea for it from the pics of the 'Cuda I posted above, I'm just not that good. All holes into the passenger compartment will be covered/sealed before finishing.

Glad to see others posting SEEMINGLY unrelated tin fab but IMO IT IS related. You probably have some freedom to remove the base rear seat and speaker framework. This CAN make tin not only look better but easier in some ways. So, here's some of mine for ideas.
