If you want them bleached out white then use aluminum wheel cleaner/wheel acid. If you want them polished to look reflective then you have to buff them out with mag wheel polish like Mothers etc. Once you polish them you have to keep doing it every so often to maintain the shine otherwise they will slowly revert back to dull. If you daily drive them and they get wet, dirty often then you'll have to do more polishing upkeep. If it's a sunny day only cruiser then the shine will last much longer.
