I have a 16 M6 Challenger HC. It is a blast to drive. My understanding is the supercharge bearing issues were resolved early to mid model year in 16. Look at the build date on the door sticker. My car was built in Oct 16 and I have had no issues with the supercharger (I only have 16K miles on mine though), or the car for that matter. There was a recall for the catalytic convertor. They changed mine out. I can't remember any other recalls.

If you do end up buying it, a must upgrade to to change the shifter out to a Barton shifter. To say it is a night and day difference is a gross understatement. I was very skeptical on that upgrade, until I found a friend that did it and he let me feel it in his car. Everyone rushes out to buy a new intake. They do make the supercharger whine louder. I would question and real performance increases though. I have had the B-woody, hated it. Way too much heat and would throw hot air codes because the resister they sent me was bad. Went back to stock for a while. I am friends with Chris, owner of Legmaker, so I got one of his and installed it. Love the sound. No cooler than the stock though, however, much cooler than the b-woody.

The stock tires suck, if it still has them. They should last a life time if you drive easy on them because they are hard as a rock smile. I still have the factory tires as I don't beat my car up.

Enjoy it, if you end up buying it!

Interesting. Is $49k avereage for what you're looking at? I paid that for my '15 A8 HC with 8500 miles and 1 owner 5 years ago. It was a 2 year search and I found out in that time there were ALOT of these cars with 2 and 3 owners by 10k miles. eek Mine already had a K&N noisemaker on it and I like it just fine. grin I've got about 14k on it now and know it will need SC bearings someday. But till then.. drive

I was seriously looking at used Hellcats 2 or 3 years ago. They were dropping an average of $550 a month in value. When they got into the low $40k range, I almost pulled the trigger on 1 or 2 but thought I would wait another few months until they started hitting the high $30k range. I actually passed on a nice red one with 9,000 miles for $42k. From the original owner. But I passed thinking I could get a car like that for a few grand less in a short time based on what had been happening to their values up to that point.

Well, obviously they stopped dropping and in fact started recovering some of their lost value. Just now are some getting into the range that I was hoping for 2 or 3 years ago. But now, those have a ton more miles on them.

Master, again and still

Thanks guys for the info. Around here it seems the Hellcats are going up in value. That 49k one was actually the cheapest (with under 40k miles) one I have seen in my local searches. I'm guessing it's because they are on the last year of building the Hellcats..
Intresting, while watching Barrett Jackson yesterday. Steve Magnante mentioned that the Hemi's will be back. In a different platform. But they will be back. Is he just wishful thinking? Or does he know something?

redraptor, LOVE the sublime!!!!!! I would love to find a Sublime with the blacked out hood.

At the biggest dealer auctions in the country, clean low mile 2016’s are still doing high 40’s wholesale

15-20k type miles 48-49 k
30k type miles 46-47

Saw a real clean grey automatic with 8300 miles do 50k in Dallas area.
These prices are before auction fees and transportation back to your dealership

Interestingly, prices on 2015’s are virtually the same, very little difference

what are 2010's bringing [with all options except sunroof] with 8-12k on the clock ?
i know that's not hellcat territory, but my brother has a 10 with the big[ger than 5.7] engine/6 speed/B5 blue with around 10.5 on the clock, and was considering trading it for a hellcat.
beer

I traded a 2010 RT classic with 19k miles. They give me $20k for it. I coulda got more private party but didn't want to deal with tire kickers. If your brother has an SRT it may be worth more. What I don't see very often is a Mopar 10.

As far as things to look for, on high mile winter cars the front frame rails where they meet the floor next to the cats need to be looked at. ALL chargers and Challengers should have the inside of the rails oil sprayed with boeshield or crown, or other similar rust protection that you can wash out and reapply if you drive in rain or snow. As far as hellcat durability I would not worry a whole lot, we just went to Radford racing school and beat the tar out of Redeyes and Demons, the redeye all had about 15,000 track miles and who knows how many sets of tires and were all tight non rattling cars. Average fuel milage was in the 5s for the redeye and 3 for the Demons. So they were floored a lot. We ran everything hard, caught air in the Essex, well into triple digit, with the air on and not one issue. The 4 Demons made 1/8 and 1/4 mile passes one right after the other, never shut down just pass after pass, 3 of them ran 9s best was a 9.74 at 139, just Joe average driving, not a racer. My wife went 10.
17 at 135....first time she was ever on a drag strip. The demons were on nittos and had the 305 front tires on, both front seats, a mini cage and racing harnesses, and no race gas. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Anyway the average owner will never beat them like that, buy a low mile hellcat with confidence.

I should add the instructors said they have had zero problems with these cars other than minor computer glitches. The corvettes and mustangs did not hold up and were always in limp mode in the Phoenix heat, the Redeyes and Demons never give up even with the air on. All the crap I read on the internet about hellcats not cornering is also bull, they corner better than 99% of people can drive.
