I just seen the vid yesterday on FB, thought i would post. The takeaways i got from that vid was he did not measure bolt stretch on those rods. The block uses aluminum main caps. Some seem to think the aluminum main cap is not the best option. The rod bolt to cylinder clearance. If it clears, it CLEARS. .010" was his own spec. I like watching Steves vids, always learn something from them.

You should see the Reid Rocker arms!

Did you catch the inake spray bar integrated into the heads?

Man look at those ports! I thought a gen III head made an LS port look small?

That hemi and pretty much anything SM builds is way beyond the scope of my hobby, but I do enjoy the videos.

I did catch the oil jets integrated into the heads, very cool!
The Manton rocker gear is a work of art, what is different with Reid?

If you want to check out a hemi done right, look at the 4.9" bore spacing stuff!

Wonder why he went with such a small intake valve. Mine is 2.600 lmfao.

The ports looked kind of small too . Must be a street car thing

No i didn't. I will have to go back and watch part 2. They all use springs on the shafts. Even the Stage V uses springs. Barton uses no springs. I wonder why?

I'm in love with that intake manifold set up. I wonder what RPM range the intake is designed for. Probably way too big (and expensive) for a street application.
