Anybody using Race Ramp especially the tire cribs. One of their cribs is 16 inches. Wonder how to Jack up a car that high.

I got them as a Christmas gift, although I’ve been around and used them for yrs at buddy’s places. I got the 12in set that are 2piece. 6 and 6. Love them, used a block of wood to get it all the way up. One of my in progress of 3, 69, 340 swingers.

I was going to make something similar with 2x4's, but I thought this might be cheaper.

Not even close

I have the 6" wheel Cribs with additional 6" risers like pictured above, and I have their 48" low profile ramps to get under my newer Challenger since my floor jack don't fit under it. I also have their 72" trailer door extension ramps. All 3 work excellent and nice and lightweight for slinging around.

Made my own set out of 3/4" plywood 12" tall. Very useful for chassis set up.

I have the 12” solid blocks….. should have gone the spilt design like Greendart. I drive up on ramps, then jack the front end up high enough to replace the ramps with the blocks. Yeah they’re stupid expensive, but I like the fact they are very light and easy to store. I’d certainly buy them again.

Those look awesome, and easy to use, but $1000 for a set of 4.
Anyone know what the load capacity of the home built 2x4 wood set will be?
I can't justify $1000 for something I would use only a couple of times.

I will say though, those look nice!

I was interested in Race Ramps when they first came out, but thought I could save money by making my own out of wood. I ended up with heavy blocks that were hard to move and still too steep for my car to clear. Finally bought a set of 67" Race Ramps and rear cribs. So much easier to use, and they are oil/water resistant and easy to clean. Well worth the investment.

How do you Jack your car up that high. I have a Quickjack which when used works ok but your limited.

My H/F floor jack will get any of my cars high enough to sit on the 10" cribs.

I bought a set of 4 from a buddy getting out of racing. Love them. Nice and light, and easy to throw in the race trailer. Opens up more room, since the car is supported by the tires.

I have owned a set of race ramps for over 10 years and they still look new. Excellent products IMO.
