I know most old cars you see have thrashed interiors with cracked dash pads, etc.

But what if you get lucky and find a car that has been hidden away the last 30 years and has a mint padded dash pad and nice seats... what should I use to keep them nice, soft, and crack free?

The car isn't a daily driver, and will live in the garage. But it is still going to see its fair share of Sunday drives.

Whatever you do don't use Armour All or a simiar product. I've used it in the past and it caused my interior to get moldy. For a short time my car was in a darage w/2 other cars. I was the only one using Armour All at the time. I was the only one to get mold growth. Murphy's oil soap seems to do a good job.

I use lemon pledge. It keeps the natural look in the vinyl, no oily residue to attract dust. My father used it in our family wagon from 1972 to 1985 and with kids and daily use the interior always looked brand new, no dash cracks, no seat rips...
