A fun show to check out. Mid '70s Monaco painted up as a Bluesmobile replica.

They replace the brake booster with a new one, from who knows what model.
They see that the new booster accepts a 2 bolt master cylinder, but the master cylinder
for the car has 4 bolts.

Instead of asking anyone who knows something about Mopars and then bolting on an M body master cylinder, they actually make a template, take a saw, cut the 4 corners off the iron master cylinder, drill two new holes in the iron
master cylinder and mount it up.

It was cool they made it work, but it demonstrated such blatant Mopar ignorance that it made for some good entertainment, in my humble opinion.

Wish I knew the techs on the show, I'd send them a picture of an M body master cylinder, with a short message "This bolts right on".

Yeah, discussed a bit in the "Goodbye Iron Resurrection..." thread...
That and the pulley deal didn't reflect well on their abilities, to put it mildly.
I noticed at the end of the episode - after they'd rewired the car - that nothing in the dash cluster worked as they were driving & pronouncing it ready to deliver.
Maybe that was a bad edit, as I can't believe that would get through, but geez...

That said, there's a fair amount of butchery on most of the car shows.
Sometimes I channel my Dad and yell at the TV laugh2

I miss alot of threads around here smile

iagree the pulley situation and (in particular) trying to use a standard alternator with a Leece Neville alternator bracket was also a treat.

Don't know if you looked for it, but here's the link to the first posting about this..... kendigit monaco

All I can figure is that being that there was no customizing to be shown, they resorted to showing butchery.

as somewhat of a fabricator/machinist, one can make anything fit if enough "hackery" is involved. laugh2
however, in my world, i strive to make things look simple and "clean" [not the common definition of the opposite of dirty].
it is quite often not as easy to do as one would think.
just me, i guess. not condoning anything these shows do, but i could add a few pointers on some of the fabrication "ideas" they come up with.
i can't paint unless it is with a spray bomb. Shorty is my hero when it comes to paint ! bow
plus, he seems like a really down to earth guy that isn't "full of himself".

if the "bitchin rides" guy can't comb his hair i damn sure wouldn't let him work on my car. all of those "custom" shops are just butcher shops to me.
