I am thinking this is a dig at the driver for screwing up.
No way this is legal anywhere
A joke, A good one too on John Odom. I'm sure he appreciated it.

No joke, most of the big money bracket racers that have.00 lights and run right on their dial have them. Birdtracker Anyone who can stand back there and hit the tree better than me, I'm putting in the car.

Now the deal in car that started the process when the bulbs came on years ago, was real.
Put it in da beamz, set it, bulbs come on, system runs the let go. Know of one guy who won a championship with it. This was before all the hysteria over electronics.

It's amazing that I ever win footbraking. Doug That is one of the main reasons I always ran Pro ET in NHRA Division 1. Much harder to cheat in a true no electronic footbrake class. A few years back they got rid of true footbrake no electronics, and went with the box no box garbage like IHRA has always done. If everyone else in my class is allowed to run it then I am too. And if I can have every electronic gizmo in the car, I am putting a box in it...Hence the reason I started running Super Pro. I guess we are just about to the point you have to have a electrical engineering degree and work at NASA to be competitive, OR just go buy a Telsa....

Local Guy here. As tough as they come. He's won a few other $5k races this summer in Michigan as well. No box. Doug

If you want to really get in your own head about other people cheating. Imagine the capability of the modern cars with drive by wire and ABS that can apply brakes? Press the special defrost button, the computer applies the brakes, and opens the throttle to the right stall speed. The photocell sensor for the automatic headlights sees the first yellow and releases the brakes and hammers the throttle at the perfect time. The electronic steering holds the car perfectly straight and it returns to the pits where it finds the driver drinking beer not paying attention to the lane calls.
