Heavy HD housing with thick tubes are a total overkill for car applications especially when normal 60's with 1/4" or 5/16" wall tubes are still easy to find. Leave the heavy stuff for the rockcrawler guys.

boscosis super street B Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 348	The internals are the same. I suspect that it is a little heavier but have never compared them. As information we're running one in our Dart. Going from an 8.75 with a sure grip we gained 35# when we went to an HD-60 with a spool. There is no way an HD housing is 100# heavier than a standard housing.

theclutcher top fuel T Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 2,172 Ohio	The difference may be 5-10 lbs. Not worth fretting over for extra rigidity you get. If you think 10 lbs is gonna make you set the national record thats another story. Then you wouldnt want dana anyway.
