Does anyone else use itunes and have a problem with it slow starting? Asin It can take several minutes from clicking on it till when it actually opens. And this is a new install with not much on it.
Based on a google search it seems to be a common problem but I've tried some of the different solutions and nothing seems to work so I thought I'd ask if anyone has issues or knew how to fix it?
Once it starts it seems to work fine.

Either the computer is a potato or iTunes is waiting to connect to something on the Internet it can't reach and eventually once it times out it finishes loading.

Thanks. The laptop is older but I know it's not it, it runs everything else fine. Windows is a fairly new install but I know that doesn't rule out some issue that way and I didn't see anything in itunes to cause it but I'm no expert with it.
I'm going to try installing an older version of itunes to see if that helps. Otherwise I'm just chocking it up to some sort of compatibility problem.
