Not a great picture, but my disconnect handle comes through on the right hand side just above the bumper. See the red handle - the battery and switch is just inside the trunk on that side. (Push / Pull Switch / Rod combo)

For me, it's a decision on whether to drill the body, or use a tail lamp or (for some Barracudas that have them) a back-up lamp like the car above.
On a '68 Road Runner, I went through the back-up lamp lens and used a rotary switch.
On an early B, I made a bracket that attached to a bumper bracket.
My Duster already had a hole below the trunk lock from its SS days, was never - and never will -be a street car or a restored #s car, so that was easy.
If there's an opportunity to be clever & artistic, I try to take that route - as long as it doesn't confuse or irritate the Tech guys.

There is a factory hole here, and that is what I used.

Hard or next to impossible to see but it is under the bumper on the pass side. I suppose if you squint hard enough you can see the silver painted knob and lettering on bumper, but probably not. So here is a gratuitous picture anyway laugh2

19Swinger70 -

Looks to be enough room between the bumper and tail lamp. I was wondering that.
Thanks for the pic.

Is there enough room to get your hand in between the bumper?
I currently do not have the bumper mounted.

Thanks.

Yes, it is just below the bumper. I use the Moroso cut off switch.

Dumb question, but does anyone know if the switch must be labeled? So far it hasn't been an issue for me, but just trying to stay out in front of anything

It is supposed to be. Mine is not and sometimes that gets mentioned in tech. I usually write PUSH with a sharpie on the bumper about once a year and it makes them happy. Maybe someday I will put a sticker on there.
