I have a 69 RR hotrod with what I believe is an AAR heavyweight fiberglass hood. It lacks the underhood structure to seal against the air cleaner. It has also, probably due to the lack of said underhood structure, sagged a little bit right in front of the scoop opening which has caused the rear corners to lift.

I've been searching for an original hood or the long-discontinued Year One hood without success. According to their websites, none of the big players (glasstek, VFN, etc) offer a reasonably accurate A12 hood. There is a seller on eBay out of El Paso (seller is evaedmundo) who offers what appears to be a nice hood. Has anyone bought anything from this outfit? Any comments on quality, fit/finish? Is there another hood out there that has the underhood bracing to seal to the A12 air cleaner?

Just checked out the A12 hood from eBay seller evaedmundo and damn that's one of the more accurate underside of an A12 repo hood that I have seen since the Year One repo. The center brace in the middle of the scoop opening look too thick/wide but that may be because it is not black and even if it is wider that may be a good thing as they can and have cracked (probably from lifting it off by the scoop opening by one person) Don't know the seller and his rating of 88% is something to check out. The finish is better than the originals being very smooth but that doesn't mean the overall quality is good just the originals had very visible fiberglass matting strips and not a smooth looking surface. I'm sure you are not concerned about that. So if you're looking for an underside like an original A12 hood to seal around an air grabber style air filter cover that evaedmundo hood looks good. Now you have to check out the seller's feedback and pay the $290 shipping and hope it arrives undamaged luck

Thank you for your response and posting the pictures, A12.

The hood does look pretty nice in the pictures. I might just have to pull the trigger and find out, maybe the hard way, whether these guys have any business being in the fiberglass industry.

up wonder why as there were about 500 more A12 Bees produced but not more '69 Dodge B-bodies than Plymouth Road Runners and Plymouth B-bodies overall. But there should still B a demand or market for a Super Bee A12 lift-off-hood. shruggy I don't think a Plymouth hood would fit? I think it might be an inch or there abouts shorter and then no center rib on the outside/top.

I have a friend that is also a member here that has two A12 Super Beed original hoods and one A12 original Road Runner Hood. He also has an A12 Road Runner I sold him years ago that needs a major restoration. I have been telling him to liquidate the A12 car and parts because he is involved in another major restoration and just bought a ton of more stuff for that Cuda restoration. We have talked about him getting rid of the car and parts to create more room for his current projects.
