And too look at it, you'd think maybe a 13 second car at best...LOL. Very impressive!

Wonder how many inches it is, and how big the roller cam is in that Duster
I know the FAST roadrunner had like a 900 lift roller in it. Remarkable car!

Being at one of the fastest tracks in the United States and good Fall air is good for .20 minimum. Probably more.

it's amazing what those folks do with those cars, especially when you add in bias ply street tires! i had a chance to talk to dave dudek several years ago about his black road runner. he pulled out a chassis dyno sheet and the car made 699hp at the tire!!!!!! i think that would have to be 800+ at the crank on a little less than 500cuin's.

Still impressive considering the tires.

Horspower Depot has a Youtube channel that is really interesting.

Granted, they're racing BBC in Corvettes and a '69 Camaro in F.A.S.T. but it's super interesting to see them test and find out what works and what doesn't. Apparently sidepipes on 'Vette kill about 40 hp over rear exit exhaust! Crazy!

They've been 9.31's at 147mph in a factory appearing Corvette and 9.50's in the Camaro.

'63 Dodge 330
11.19 @ 121 mph
Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs.
10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.

That's downright movin' at any track in any air on that tire. Let alone a full bodied factory car. That thing cranks! Hats off to these guys that do this stuff. It's impressive to say the least.

Isn't that the one that was for sale a couple years ago, had a 422" small block in it?

The ridge in the middle of the trunk lid is my guess. I know the lids were originally flat and they added the ridge at some point.

Yes, ridge from '72 up, IIRC, which would include the Feather Duster aluminum lid.
I would think that given all the limitations those guys have, they'd sure be looking at weight anywhere they can pare it.
