Call the converter shop in Lake Havasu, AZ. I've used the stock street hemi converters to race in NHRA stock class when we first started racing in NHRA stock class, we switch to a 8 inch Art Carr race converter that was junk. We then bought a good one 8 inch from Rossi Converters in in Montclair, CA which made the car a lot quicker and faster. My message to try and buy the best converter you can get the first time, not suffer and have to buy another one later. The Converter shop makes good stuff 928-453-4020

Looking for a source for a custom built 1970 426 street Hemi torque converter; corrector stall, approximate appearance, no inherent bolt interferences, etc. Thanks! What are you expecting from it? You just want something close to the original in regards to specs and performance or?

I have 3 PTC converters on 3 of my cars. Very happy with a of them. A 10" 3400 in my Charger. A 10" 3800 in my Road Runner and a 8" 5600 nitrous converter in my Hemi Challenger all driven on the street and work flawlessly as a stock street driven street car until I floor it and they flash as needed.
