What little info I collected pointed to Darton Sleeves as being good. Just be sure and go thick enough to do your motor justice. How bad/thin are your current cylinders?

I’m in this area also, mine is 4.530 and thinking of going back to 4.5 or 4.31 (piston availability) glad you brought this up. Indy didn’t like going over 4.5 because of head gasket sealing, did you have a problem at 4.56?

iagree
Call Darton and see what they have for your motor.
I'm not sure if they offer both steel and ductile iron sleeves for your deal but if they do get the ductile iron sleeve twocents

I had my Mega block sleeved last year. Rod broke and piston jammed cracking #3. Standard replacement sleeve. Now it's 4.530" 15-1. No issue with head gaskets. In fact its gone quicker than before it was fixed. It has50 passes so far. No water leaks, it has good power. Ive been pleased with it. Price 8 Darton sleeves and labor. Ouch. Fix what is necesary and move on.

Engine started life as a crate 528 and went from there. Rod was a Manley. No clue of how many runs as I bought the engine used and took it from 4.530 to 4.560. No sealing problems . Really not 100% sure what came first.
There was a failed lifter stuck in the bore with a few needles sticking out. That valve was hit by the piston. Rod was bent and bearing was damaged. Sleeve cracked.
I was turning the motor a little over 8 grand. Car was too heavy for a glide and had 4.56 gears in it back then to get it to launch.
Thinking I want the hemi back in the car. I will grow it to at least 572 and probably go with a pair of 4150 style carbs on a tunnel ram.
here was one of the last time slips.

Ohio Crankshaft is a dealer for 2 or 3 sleeve manufactures. I had them install mine also. Birdtracker

It was a Molnar rod It wasn't the fault of the rod itself. It spun a bearing. Probably made it through at least 2 passes after the damage started before it broke. My fault I knew something was wrong at kept running it. It has Molnar stuff in it again.

Indy wedge. It had Diamond flat tops. .051" Cometic gaskets. Now has Ross Flattops, .060" Cometics. Been 8.98@149/ 3340lbs. Recently at 1/8 track it went .06 quicker in 660 then that run.
