I recently bought a car that reportedly has a 416 stroker kit, roller lifters and roller cam. All I have from the build info wise is the attached picture. No cam card, no cam manufacturer, no cam anything. I'd like to check/adjust the valves as part of my engine "go-through" before hitting the road. Question - is there a general rule of thumb for lifter preload like .020 or .040 or is every cam different?

Unless the lifters are of the very limited travel variety........ I’d say the .020-.040 preload would be a pretty safe bet.
