It only took me a little over a year but the dart is once again running. The only thing left to do is front end alignment and I have an appointment for next saturday to have that done. I should be making a few shake down passes on the 23rd at Madras Oregon.

Glad to see you finally got it running. With the issues and all, determination pays off in the end.

Whats the new combo motor and trnas and what did you do the front end?
The engine is unchanged in terms of internals with the exception of a new World aluminum block (I cracked my old production block through the main webs) That alone should remove 100lbs from the front? I replaced the stock steering and K member with a rack unit built buy Warp Performance here in Portland Oregon. Also installed a willwood front brakes. My old front suspension/brake set up was a boat anchor in comparison. Now to the rear of the car. In the later part of 07 The car started driving like total junk! I couldn't make it go straight. I couldn't launch the car hard with out darn near wrecking. I found the shocks where junk one of them so bound up it would take six men and one gorilla to pull it back out when compressed. All the heim joints on the 4-link where rusted (Way to many trips to the car wash?) And the wheelie bars on the back had an aluminum leaf spring on the bottom. That has now all been changed to a tube style wheelie bar. So the best the car ran before all this was a 9.62 though the mufflers. What do you think it is going to run?
