I took the rear bumper off an original 67 Belvedere awhile back and I remember there were these squarish metal plates that went in the corners I believe. I am putting the bumper back on but do not remember how they go? I can post a pic of the plates if need be, but I know I have seen this question asked before, hoping someone will know what I mean. I do not see them in the Chrysler parts book. Thanks for help.

The only reference I could find in the parts book for something like that was for the rear bumper on a '66 Coronet. I'll take a look today at one of my '67's to see what it has.

Yeah, those are them. Those reinforcement plates. I am pretty sure they came off my Belvedere as I am using the rear mounting brackets and kept everything together. Thank you for posting pic.

Looking again, they are listed in the '67 parts book, 2533470, 13-66-21, but only for Coronet.

I finally got one of my '67 Belvedere's on the hoist and tried to get some pictures. I think the only way this would be definitely decided is if someone were to remove their rear bumper. My pics show what APPEARS to be a separate reinforcement between the body and the bumper bracket but I wouldn't guarantee anything. Best I can do.
