Does the 2949054 radiator have a large or small font for a 6pac bee with a 4-26 build date. Thnaks

The general consensus is small font for A12 cars.

Small font it shall be. What do you guys think the date code should be for the rad?

while 3/4 of the A12 production was "SCHEDULED" on Saturday 4/26/69 - they were built during April, May & June

do you have a fender tag and/or broadcast sheet? the "body-in-white" number from the fender tag can point towards an actual production date timeframe

I have the fender tag, that has 426 for build date I think. Which #s would be body in white?

Check your K member date code that will get you pretty close.

What's the assembly date on your engine , assuming it's original ? Cars with 426 SCHEDULED production date were built well past that date .

All A12 cars have the small font "054" radiator. Bob Schirmer at Glen Ray Radiators can reproduce or restore an original. The dates on the 054 radiators followed a last in first out inventory management in 1969. This means a late build A12 will have a very early radiator date. This is well documented with original radiators.
