I am lookin to see what plug you guys run in closed chamber iron 915 heads for racing. I dont think the rj12 will do the trick for what i want. I will spray a 150 shot on this sometimes also but id like to know some plug recomendations for both . Thanks for your help guys!!

I run auto lite 75 in mine. it has shaved and ported 915 heads and runs 10.30's. I have 24 runs on this motor without changing any of the plugs yet, they seem to do the job. I know a lot of people hate auto lite's but i've always had good luck with them so i've never changed.

Try a Autolite AR73 or AR72, or a Champion J63Y or J6YC and or Accel 132

When the motor had 915s on it we ran AR73 gaped at .035.I like the cut back electrode on the AR plugs I think there is less chance of detonation with that style plug.

Absolutely not, a 85 is a resistor plug that has the same heat range as the non resistor Autolite # 75 A 83 is the same heat range as a 73

I think that they changed the number on it but they can cross it for ya.. oh his is a 496... 12.5 comp soild mop cam 590 lift single carb 1050 dom. Hope this helps ya.

Used to run autolite 75 or 74 in a 915 headed 511 ran 9.80's in a 3200 lb car - they were cheap and worked - I did try the 85 and 84's never really noticed any difference using a MSD 6Al - the resistence in the plug is negligable.
