I am in the process of getting a 727 transmission for my ebody and I need advice on whether to have a B&M shift kit installed or not. I use the car for family cruising only, I have no plans to take it to the drag strip. Will a shift kit make the shifts too harsh for casual use? I don't mind some performance but not to the point where it is not good for the street. What are your thoughts?

It doesn't make the shifts that firm.

do your self a favor and use a transgo tf-2 much nicer kit than any B+M

for a mild cruiser, I'd opt for the TF-1 option. Wont hardly feel any different than stock, but will help your transmissions life-span.
