Here is something I cant figure out. I installed a go pro in the car last year best move I made! Watching the car launce I could see the car come off the 3000 rpm chip and immediately go to 5800 before the car moved. So I send the converter back to p t c for rebuild. There was issues and broken parts I was told. I asked for the stall to be just around 4800 to 5000 since the engine max torque is around 5000. 5 months later after winter got the car to the track . Watching the videos the car stays on the 3000 chip on the 1st pass but flashes to 5800 before the car leaves. 2 nd pass the car comes off the chip after releasing the brake and flashes again to 5800. same thing on the 3rd pass. Is there a wiring problem or my older 2 step gone bad? it seems to shift the car consistent. Is this 5800 flash from being on the converter for the 1.040 I have in the box or did p t c not get it right with the rebuild ! Im going to go thru the wiring and stall the converter this week without the 2 step! Any impute I appreciate .

If it's set at 3k, stays at 3k while the 2 step is engaged and releases to the high side chip when the switch is released, it's working.

What's it go though the lights at? Where is it shifted?

thanks Mc callister , that seems to be the issue it doesn't stay at 3000 ! it comes off the chip and leaves at 5800. the shift is 6600 it shifts at 6600 ! Its a glide ! watching the video is very detailed i can see each frame by frame. why it wont stay on the chip is 1 issue and why does the car flash to 5800 when its supposed to be 5000? I have an expensive programable tach not thinking its reading wrong. .I come thru the traps at 6700-6800
thanks

If it comes off of the chip when you let go of the button, then the brake stays on for the desred setting (1.040), I'd say the 2 step is not activated from the delay box.

iagree

I believe I misunderstood what is happening.

Red wire on the 2 step and trans brake need to be wired in sync - unless you want it to leave wide open on the converter. Then you could just pull the low side chip out.

5800 is fairly loose IMO. But 5000 is a bit tight, although maybe not enough to have it torn apart. 52-5300 would be my target, IMO.
