Any suggestions on how to repair? I think it is a 12-28 screw. I have had no luck in finding a helicoil this size.

dip a nail in grease, put it in the hole where it goes, fill the gap with jb weld then drill and tap. or use titanium putty if you can find some. i did this on a chevy carb once. just tap it really really slow

I live about 30 miles from Carb Shop AED in Richmond. I got them to repair it. I was surprised at their method.

They put a 12-24 ( not the 12-28 that it came with) helicoil in it. They said it was close enough and would work. "been doing it that way for years". You do have to use a hollow squirter screw.

It seems to work. You have to put a little extra effort getting the screw started , but it tightened right up.

After your first post, I looked looked around for 12-28 Helicoils and also came up empty handed. I had always assumed shooter therads were 12-24 like so many other threads on a Holley, never having stripped one and having the necessity of knowing.
