What problems will I run into putting a 99 3.5L out of a rolled LHS into a 95 LHS? (3.5L noisy bearings) Have to use the pre OBDII sensors? What else? Injectors? Throttle bodies? Guess it will be easier when I have them side by side next week. Planning on replacing the Timing Belt and Water Pump just because they will be easier while it is out. Thanks, I am a member over there. Just bought the 99 LHS and was wanting to get some ideas before I got it here. it is about 150 miles away in Ft. Worth. Bryce ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/popcrn.gif)

I got it home Friday and it looks like there are LOTS of differences. One throttle body instead of two, individual coils on the plugs, and etc. Bryce ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif)

I'm fairly certain its a completely different engine.
Best thing you could do is go hit up craigslist etc. for an Intrepid with a blown 2.7 and swap the 3.5 out of the LHS in there. It's much easier than you think and you end up with a cheap version of the Intrepid R/T. Bolt in and plug and play.
So many LH cars have had 2.7's blow and they are cost prohibative to fix. Go get a price on a used 2.7 engine from a junkyard. Yowza!! You can typically find a fairly mint 2.7 car with a bad engine for under a grand.
I have an '01 intrepid with a 3.5 out of a 00 300m. I was going to fix the 2.7. The swap was easier.

My friend that has a junk yard says it won't fit. Hollander even has a different number for the bare block. The general consensus over on lhforems.net is that it won't fit, the pan interferes with a sway bar or strut rod or something. I may look a little about changing the entire front subassembly. Before I go looking for a blown 2.7L I will find another 3.5L for my LHS. I am going to crawl under it and see how bad the crank is damaged first, I guess. DodgeIntrepid.net has some pretty knowledgable people.
If you decide to part with the 3.5 car don't overlook advertizing it as a great donor for a 2.7 swap.
I bought a 300m with a wrecked front for $1000 and robbed the 3.5 out of it.
