Hey guys,

Long time since I’ve posted much on here, but the time has come!

I’ll make this a condensed version.. but long story short.. we blew up our 557” B1 motor in July of 2020 and have been rebuilding the motor/ car ever since.

Motor:
BES racing engines built 588”
New kb block
Tony’s port job on the b1s.
Titanium valves
Callie’s crank
Grp rods
Cp pistons
Comp 55mm cam
T&D paired rockers
And a bunch of other parts… made 1050 on Tony’s dyno

A good friend of mine redid the 20 year old paint job and my brother and law lettered it up.

A trip to Mike Schaefers chassis shop to add bars, a chute, and completely redid the Dana 60… the car actually rolls now haha

New 727 with hardened input and output shaft and new clean neautral valve body

New Wiring, fire system, interior (minus carpet), wheels, carbon driveshaft, strange brakes… the list goes on and on.

My goal has always been to go an 8 in this car, so my dad and I decided to go all out on this build and see what we could do. Chassis is certified and we are ready to test if it ever decides to warm up and stop raining.

Hope to be posting that 8 second slip soon. Here are a few pics.

I remember seeing you post on the FBBO forum awhile back. Glad to see you back in action, can't wait to see how it runs!

Awesome! Motor sounds a lot like mine. My cast iron mega block B1MC heads made 1060 hp on Tony's dyno. What torque did it make? Have not run it yet but am close........

67 Coronet 500 (street car) 14.82 @ 94 mph

I have watched that car run at so many out of state events over the years, and no matter what...it's always put on a great show
and I have always enjoyed watching you guys race it.

Thanks for the post, it's good to know a little something behind the scenes. Looks like a first class operation.

It looks "Naked" without the lettering.

One thing that also caught my eye, the floor in that shop is the same tan color as mine. Is it rocksolid floors product?

Thanks for the kind words Zippy!

Yes, I am not a fan of the plain look on this car... Needs the lettering haha.

It is indeed the Rocksolid! My only regret is not putting down more flake... Other then that the application was great.

What is the weight? It should make an 8-second pass easy, IMO.
What did the old motor run?

The new BES 588 CID looks great. cool
Can you post a dyno sheet?

I think since I'm coming to Columbus for NSS Bash. You need to make it up here for GLSSA. Congrats on the build.
