Looking to pick up a little HP on one of my GTXs. Currently a 493 RB. 11.4 compression, ported by Modern Edelbrock RPM heads, Modern also did some mild porting on the Street Dominator intake. Cam is a street roller with .600 lift and 265 duration at .050. Carb is a Pro Systems 4150 that is rated at 1000 CFM.
At 3960 lbs car has a best of 1.49 60 ft, 10.84 at 123 plus MPH on a Hoosier 275/50 drag radial and 3.73 gears.
Any one have back to back experience with the std port / 4150 version of these intakes? Which one should make the car quicker? Horsepower and torque numbers if you have them.
THANKS!

Trick Flow intake will make better power than the Victor intake. Either intake needs at least a deep port match. I don't think the Trick Flow intake is available at the moment, not sure about the Victor.

I've tested both on different engines, so no direct comparison. Out of the box, the Trick Flow is better, IMO. In ported form, I expect they would be very close. The engine that is in the car now awaiting final reassembly of the chassis has a Trick Flow, FWIW.

EDIT: You asked for HP & torque numbers... the engine combination using a Victor w/ some plenum mods & port matching made 600+ HP / 570+ Tq; a revised engine combination with better heads, etc. using a Trick Flow with minimal plenum cleanup work made 670+ HP / 600+ Tq.

The car w/ the 600+ HP engine ran mid-to-high 10s at 123-126 MPH, depending upon the time of year. The new engine hasn't been to the track, yet.

In 2008-2009 I bought a victor intake for the dominator carb, 4500 series flange, and was very impressed with the quality of it. It matched my victor heads and the intake ports castings were very nice.

I recently (2022) swapped to a 4150 victor intake meant for efi. This is a newer casting and it is not nearly as nice as my older dominator intake. The ports do not line up perfectly as they did with my dominator victor intake, much rougher casting both in and out side. Plus the plenum looks very restrictive to me.

No experience with the trick flow.

Well, from what I see neither are likely available. Summit says Trick flow is 4 months out and Edelbrock is 2 months out. Not the only source, but if Summit doesn't have them, it's a good indication they may be hard to locate.

Is there adequate hood clearance on the vehicle for either of them?

Good point; both of those intakes are probably 1.5" -- maybe more -- taller than a Street Dominator.
