Here is my question to the mopar 833 stick racers,

Have any of you ever seen or cracked a side cover from shifting??

I know in 40 years I never had but I am trying to figure this out for a friend.

Thx for any input!

Yeah I cracked one before on the 3-4 selector boss. Some have more beef around the selector bosses so look around till you find one.

Early ones had narrow boss, later the boss was thicker with a rib I believe. Also seen one that shift arm sheared. Old Super stock racer with hemi still had it as a souvenir.

I broke the 3-4 brass shift fork years ago on a 1970 Cuda without the adjustable shifter stop locks on the stock Hurst shifter staying in 3rd gear realcrazy, it dropped an exhaust vale on the next run whiney
