I need to get two or three pair of factory type male and female bulkhead wire terminals like those shown in the picture. Are these considered series 56 terminals?

Packard 56 is a valid replacement for them, but the correct one is Packard 58. Hard to come by BTW.

6PAX - As best as I can tell, Yes those are Packard 56 terminals. I bought mine from Terminal Supply Co., their info is on the pic below. I believe the different terminals in the pic below are for different gauge wires.

Me too but the new ones NAPA is selling may not be brass finish like the OEM.

Alot of the new ones are coming in that silver/tin color. If that matters to you.

I just looked at Napaonline and found some for sale individually. They call them GM56 terminals

Link. https://www.napaonline.com/en/search?text=Gm56%20terminals&referer=v2

Once again, originals ARE NOT exactly Packard 56s. The are just a vaild replacement which share same plugs, but the correct ones are really Packard 58s.

iagree The 56s have an extra tab on the inside of the female ends that clamp onto the male end when installed. The correct ones have rounded sides that do the clamping. Some of the 56s I've used don't fit into the plastic connectors very well.

Yeap. Some 56s fit some lousy into some plugs/insulators, there are small differences betwen some plugs, but IN GENERAL, they are good replacements for the allmost unexistant 58s

The problem is actually with the females, not with males. ( just like in the nature LOL )

Due the lack of terminals in Venezuela where I fixed my wiring, I used the "yazaki" kind terminals ( shown on the link I posted from FABO ) which are locally made, and I got good success with them.
