Same as 340 with a different pie tin. I'm not sure if the pie tin I put on the 383 is the correct one. And, no, you could not get AC with a 383. That's an original 273 car.

Also, those are 273 valve covers on the 340.

Thanks, I have seen both and this makes sense now, My 68 383 is an August 18th build date so likely should be the 67 style, Thanks again for your help.
