Is this a street only, street and strip or race only converter?
I like and have had very good luck with Turbo Action and FTI in the last couple of years on race converters up scope
The Converter shop in Lake Havasu, AZ makes good street and strip parts, but I haven't ordered and tried one of their all out drag race converters yet shruggy

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Dynamic Racing Transmissions from Connecticut or Dynamic Converters out of Delaware?

Frank and Harold had a falling out years ago and Frank took the converters and Harold took the transmissions. Both are called Dynamic.

If Dynamic converters, then definitively a good choice from my perspective. I would be leery if from Dynamic Transmissions. Harold screwed me ion a transmission after their divorce and that was it for me with them. All my converters are Frank's (Dynamic Converters)

Yes, be very careful that you get Frank Lupo of Dynamic Converters out of Delaware, not Dynamic Transmissions!

I made that mistake when I was changing my combination from an iron 488 ci Hemi, to an aluminum 588 ci engine. I had an 8" Lupo converter that had worked great for the 488 cube, and called 'Dynamic' not knowing they had split up. The tech that answered phone said absolutely he could make my 8" converter work with my new 588 in , as he had a few 'tricks' he could do to it, so I sent it to them. When I had my new engine in, I started taking out the main thrust bearing every 3 or 4 passes. I called all the main crank manufacturers, engine builders, converter and transmission companies in the country for ways trying to pinpoint the problem. I can now write a book from all this information from different known problems associated with thrust bearing problems LOL.

I would freshen engine every time thrust went out, after every pass I would use a dial indicator on damper to see thrust go from .004 to .035 clearance in just a few passes. All the engine builders said it was in transmission, all transmission guys said it was definitely in the engine. I finally found problem by talking with Steve Griner (rip) and he said to look on my reaction shaft on trans, and see if splines looked like they were slightly twisting. Sure enough it was, and he said whoever set up converter probably did not do it correctly as it was not exhausting the converter charge, and acting like a hydraulic jack on my crankshaft, taking out my crank thrust.

That was the problem, the Dynamic TRANSMISSION shop conveniently never mentioned they were not Frank Lupo's Dynamic CONVERTERS shop, as they are known for C4 ford transmissions, and their converter TRICKS cost me a ton of money, and time.

I purchased a new 9.5" converter from Frank Lupo and it has worked flawlessly and I highly recommend !!

Street application here, 9.5" converter for my 727 from Dynamic. Per our phone conversation it was supposed to flash to 3800-4000, flashes to 4000, which I consider to be spot-on. The converter is a little more loose as compared to the previous 2800 stall piece, but that was explained to me during the conversation, and the results I'm seeing match the warning I was given. No issues to report.

Now...if one can tell me who can build a tighter converter that still flashes to around 3800-4000, thus giving me better street manners, well, I'd be all ears!

Thanks for this ^^^
This is why I’m looking to replace the converter . I toasted the thrust and can’t find a reason why . My converter is 20 plus years old drag duty only . Although it seemed to work well ,
I’m thinking it’s just time
