Did the convertible come with a glass rear window , plastic, or it was optional? I am helping someone with one, and I am not sure if i should be looking for a back glass in all of the parts that were removed. Not sure if the old top was saved when removed….I will find out when I go over there.
Thx

Factory was a glass window. You don't need to find your old one since it will be included with the new convertible top. Aftermarket tops are available with glass or clear plastic. The clear plastic gets hazy after about 10 yrs in the sun.

The replacement glass is probably not the same as factory. If that matters to you. I have heard of people having the original windows installed into a new top before. I know the A-body glass was originally curved but the replacement glass is flat. You might want to contact some convertible top manufactures and have them send you pictures of there installed tops. Some of the A-body tops look awful around the back glass area. That’s great to know and very good advice. Thanks for the info
