thanks Doug. i thought of him right away, but thought if the original detent plate could be modified easily, i would do it myself. the bucks saved could go towards my next doctor's visit.

74 Challenger, bought it new. In 1978 I replaced the original 318 with a 446 and 727. Mild cam, Jardine headers, and Holley Sniper EFI. New engine! 511" RB, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Eagle rotating assy, Comp hyd roller cam, Doug's 2" headers.

On my video I miss spoke about the stock shifter would go from neutral to reverse without pushing the button, I was wrong about that, but Y'all should get the idea.

good video sir ! i have a good idea what's needed now to my shifter, so i have printed out several pictures and placed them in the car. i have a folder in the car listing things that need done. when they GET done, those pics and any notes related to the job at hand go into a folder in the house. there is a master index of things in the car, and if they are done, a check is placed next to them. if i need to refer back to something, or i forget if i have done something, this index helps out with a broom to part the cobwebs.
