by 10:30 AM we only had 3. Had to put our little 14 year old Scottie mix down. Poor little guy was about deaf, half blind and was getting wobbly. The vet wouldn't do anything for him because he had a heart murmmer. Past couple of months he would have a seizure about once a week, but this morning he had 9. He had a good life but it was time to say goodbye. RIP Ed, you were a good boy.

Thank you. Yeah, we know it's all part of life. Still miss him though. We have my 14 year old St Bernard mix as well that isn't in the best of shape either, hard of hearing, cataracts, arthritis, and on meds to help her liver function. She is still pretty spunky at times though so we just take it day by day.

That's sad, unfortunately when it's time, it's time. It's to bad they have such a short life span.

Thank you all. But let's remember what we love about our dogs.

Aww what a sweet face your Ed had. What great and loyal companions they are!

this one makes me feel a little better as well. Banjones, i really feel your pain, as my wife and i have lost four sweeties over the years. we would like to adopt a couple more, but we are afraid our health issues may complicate taking care of them the way we would want to. just having one in your lap on a good day makes one ecstatic, never mind the soothing effect one gets from them when you have a BAD day............ it always brings a tear to my eyes when hearing about loosing a well loved pet. and to those that think animals are incapable of expressing feelings, especially love, you are flat wrong. my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, Jones, during this sorrowful time.
