The Dana in the charger is a 70 model out of a challenger, and has 35 spline axles in it. The one I am building i bought in a box of parts and am using a Strange housing to utilize the side bearing adjusters. Anyway, Im going through the Trac Lok and axles and see they are a course 26 spline axle. I didnt know the Danas used that on the earlier models.
Is there a good source for torque specs on the carrier, and for pinion preload? Or will my Yukon cheat book work for the specs?
The Bee is a mild 434, 383 with 440 crank, and I am running 3:54 gears, so I am not concerned at all about the axles, I just had the opportunity to buy the Dana parts cheap, so went that rout VS my 8-3/4.

Mopar had Dana Corp. change the size of the axles beginning in 1970 from the smaller course 27/26 spline to the larger diameter 35 spline axles for all the cars that came with Dana 60 in 1970 and 1971 BTW, I have a new set of factory Dana clutch type posi unit side gears for 30 spline axles that I will sell so you can use the 8 3/4 axles on one side, Dana passenger axles have a short and long axle stock

pre-1970 "Powr-Lok" was 23 spline. 1970-up "Trac-Lok" was 35 spline. 35 spline would be factory for a '70 E body.
Not sure precisely when the change was made, but do recall the '70 model year.
If you do have a 23 spline Powr-Lok, it would, by most folks, be considered an upgrade over the later, usually considered less desirable Trac-Lok diff. If you want to use it, you can order some 35 spline side gears from Dr. Diff to use it with the later axles.
For general service specs, I think the factory service manuals at mymopar dot com should have more than what you need.
