I have a 518/46RH I was told was a 92 or 93 I am trying to nail it down exactly.

The pan rail reads

53008102 0548 8196

I believe the 0548 is the build date code.

When was it built?

Thanks!

0548 is the build date but since lightningjar is gone there's no way to look it up.

The previous 10,000 day calendar ended on 12/13/1988 so 548 days after that would put it around June 1990.

Thanks John! I was starting to question the date I was told. I found a 91 truck today with its original transmission and a higher number. The number was also stamped in a way that looked like a dot matrix, mine is solid stamped numbers. Also mine didn't have the crank sensor cut out, and the 91 did.
