The key ingredient in both Drano and Easy-Off is sodium hydroxide, i.e. lye. It will strip annodizing off, but sometimes it takes more than one try.
As suggested, get the Easy-Off in the yellow can, not the "Fume-free" type in the blue can.

After stripping the anodizing did you polish and apply a clear cote, how has it held up and what kind of clear?
