I have attached a picture of 2 differant styles of "LH" brand wheel weights. The one on the right I will call the step type and the one on the left the non step type. Does anyone know what years each type was used on? The non step type I think is newer around 1969. The "LH" brand was used By Chrysler as their OEM weights.
Thanks! Mopar John

For what little it may be worth, the ones on the left have been spotted on survivor 69 cars.

Mark,
Thanks for the reply and pictures! I thought there would be more info on these from survivors.

Don,
That helps a lot because we now know that the "non step" type were used on the entire 1968 model run and the 1969 model run.
Thanks! Mopar John

Hello John,
I don't believe that you will find a "line in the sand" with regards to these wheel weights. The version you show on the left was used throughout the 70 model year as well. My Valiant was manufactured in April of 1970 and all of the wheels have the version you refer to as the "non step" style. (So did the 1970 Challenger we finished last Summer.)

Thanks Dave! We now know that the non step type was used early in the 1968 model run through late in the 1970 model run. Does anyone out there know anything about the older step type weights???
Thanks! Mopar John

I am bumping this back to the top. I am told that the "LH" step type may have been used on the early to mid 60's cars. Is there anyone with a survivor car that could help verify this?
