I have been out in the Mopar wilderness for a while but finally managed to finish building my car. Took me a few years though I will admit. Hopefully it performs well, but I guess you never know until you get it to the strip. It's a low deck stroker with a glide and weighs 3000lbs.
Specs are: Factory 400 block (no aftermarket here in Australia at the time) Aluminium caps, studs, hardblock and a girdle 4.3 Ohio crank 6.7 rod Off the shelf flat top 13:1 compression Milodon dual line oiling and Milodon gear drive Isky rr665 ( 282 intake and 286 exhaust on 110 with .750 lift with 1.7 Jesel) Indy 345 CNC with 2.25 intake valve Ported Indy intake Ron's Terminator alcohol Star vacuum pump 2 1/8 into 4"
Powerglide with 1.80 straight cut gears 5250 stall 4.3 gears sheet metal 9' housing Coil over front Caltracs rear
Assuming the block stays put, any guesses on how fast this thing will be over the quarter?
I see you have your vacuum pump hose placed in the valley pan so do you think it will suck oil in this area or do you have a baffle system in place?Thank you for your info on this.

Looks like it snakes over to valve cover in middle. It would be interesting to see what kind of baffles you guys with vacuum pumps are running?

Bottom 9s. The converter may be a little tight, but since you already have it, may as well let it rip. I'd suggest that we don't know what the stall speed on the converter actually is since the combination hasn't run and since the OP doesn't know how much power the engine makes. Without a dyno sheet the converter builder was just guessing at the stall speed.

Nice car!!! It should run real well. I'm sure all of 800HP. Well you asked how fast so, 148-150 the ET may take you a while to use all the MPH. Should go 9.4 relatively easy.

9's will be a welcome change from the diesel 4x4 I drive around in. But will take some getting used to.
It will be 3030lb on the line, came in at just under 2800lb without my 235 in the seat. Probably right on the converter, it is a bit tight, in hindsight I should have made it closer to 6000. Never had a 2 speed before, it will be a learning curve. It did have a 727 - billet drum, A&A t/brake, 5 pinon steel planet roller bearings etc etc plus a Frank Lupo converter but had to let it go to fund kid's sporting endeavors, hard to find another on over here so powerglide was the only option.
Vacuum pump pick up was originally in the top of the cover but pulled way too much oil, so I searched the forum and found that a good spot for it is in the valley side of the valve cover. This location work's great even with spray bar oiling. The only baffle is by way of the Star supplied fitting as in the picture.
Might be a few more weeks before I hit the track. I'll keep you guys posted when I do. That is the same baffle i ran with the Star pump setup on my low deck stroker. Worked well and i only had about 2 ounces of oil in catch can after 1/2 dozen or so dyno pulls.

cool, just doing a few calcs and judging by the pic you have 28" slicks?.....@800fwhp and 3030@the line on a good day sorted the ticket could look like> Power to Weight Ratio: 0.26 : 1 (HP per 1 Pound Weight) 60 Foot E.T. : 1.26 Seconds 1/8 Mile E.T. : 5.73 Seconds 1/8 Mile Trap Speed : 118.64 MPH 1/4 Mile E.T. : 9.08 Seconds 1/4 Mile Trap Speed : 148 MPH 1/4 Mile Trap RPM : 7,621 RPM+slip a 29" slick would be 7358+
